DON CAVALLI

Brandishing a wah-wah pedal as his weapon of choice, Don Cavalli’s music plays off the Frenchman’s own reinterpretation of American rock and roll music. A disarming blend of funky blues, shuffling skiffle beats, and a wah-wah so blazing hot it should be under scrutiny by Homeland Security weapon inspectors, Don’s sound contains echoes of Cajun and Zydeco rhythms wrapped up in soulful 60s garage-rock grooves. He has shared the stage with Ben Harper in Paris, performed on Culver City Dub Collective’s debut “Dos” and is well respected in the rockabilly scene from prior works under the name Don Cavalli & the Two Timers. Roaming between California and Tennessee, Cavalli loses himself in a dive bar in Mississippi and has a knife fight in a dirty alley in Trenchtown.
